Lab Grown Diamond Kada, IGI Certified
A kada is a wide, rigid bangle worn on the wrist. It slides over the hand rather than clasping. The kada has deep cultural significance in India across Sikh, Hindu, and other communities. This collection covers diamond kadas for both men and women in 14K and 18K gold.
Diamond bracelet for women and men in the kada format at Goenka are set with IGI or GIA certified lab grown diamonds. Real diamonds, physically identical to mined stones. Lab grown diamond jewelry in the kada category covers traditional wide-band designs and contemporary slim kadas. Part of the wider diamond bangles collection.
Goenka Jewellers has made diamond kadas in Kolkata since 2006. Custom sizes from 2.2 to 2.12 standard, and non-standard sizes on order.
Kada Styles in This Collection
Traditional Wide-Band Kadas

Slim Contemporary Kadas

Men's Diamond Kadas
Heavier, wider kadas from 10mm to 25mm with bold diamond arrangements. Available in 14K and 18K yellow gold. Also in the men's jewellery collection.
Women's Diamond Kadas
Lighter kadas from 5mm to 12mm with delicate diamond settings. Available in yellow, white, and rose gold in 14K and 18K. Suitable for daily and occasion wear.
Religious and Ceremonial Kadas
Kadas with religious motifs and diamond accents. Om, Waheguru, and other religious inscriptions set alongside certified lab grown diamonds. Available in 14K yellow gold.
Stackable Kadas
Thin kadas from 3mm to 5mm designed to be worn in multiples on one wrist. Sold as individual pieces. A set of 3 to 5 creates a layered wrist look.
Sizing a Kada
• Size 2.2: Inner diameter 55mm. Fits hand circumference up to 170mm. Very small.
• Size 2.4: Inner diameter 60mm. Fits hand circumference 171mm to 185mm. Small.
• Size 2.6: Inner diameter 65mm. Fits hand circumference 186mm to 200mm. Medium.
• Size 2.8: Inner diameter 70mm. Fits hand circumference 201mm to 215mm. Large.
• Size 2.10: Inner diameter 75mm. Fits hand circumference 216mm to 230mm. XL.
To measure: wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your hand, not your wrist. Kadas pass over the knuckles, so the hand measurement is what matters, not the wrist size. Goenka offers complimentary sizing at both boutiques.
How to Choose a Diamond Kada
Width for lifestyle. Wide kadas above 12mm are traditional and substantial but can be uncomfortable during typing or fine motor work. Slim kadas under 7mm are practical for daily wear.
Gold weight consideration. Kadas have significant gold weight compared to bracelets. A wide 18K gold kada can weigh 15 to 40 grams. This affects comfort for daily wear. Confirm the gold weight before purchase.
Diamond setting for a kada. Flush and channel settings are most practical for the outer face of a kada because the setting is protected by the raised band edges. Prong settings can catch on surfaces over time.
Lab Grown vs Natural Diamond Kadas
Lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds differ only in origin and price:
• Carbon structure: Identical in both. Same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, same refractive index, same brilliance.
• Certification: Both carry IGI or GIA grading certificates with full 4Cs documentation.
• Price: Lab grown costs 60 to 75% less than a natural diamond of the same cut, colour, and clarity grade.
• Origin: Lab grown from a CVD or HPHT laboratory. Natural from earth-mined sources.
• Secondary market: Lab grown has a lower secondary resale market at this time. Natural diamonds have an established resale market. Worth knowing before purchase.
A slim 5mm diamond kada in 18K yellow gold with 0.3ct total diamond weight costs Rs.35,000 to Rs.55,000 in lab grown at Goenka. A traditional wide-band kada with 1ct in 18K gold costs Rs.90,000 to Rs.1,50,000. Natural diamond equivalents cost 60 to 75% more.
