The ring is built in three tiers. The lower two are slim bands of pave-set round brilliants that dip into a soft V at the front, the way a contour band follows a ring beside it. Above them, claw-set marquise and pear diamonds are arranged in an upright spray, angled outwards like the points of a tiara and fading towards one side. Viewed on the hand, the effect is of three rings worn together, without the bulk. Approximately 4 g of gold keeps it comfortable for long wear.
