The face of the ring is a disc. At its centre, 19 round diamonds sit in individual claw settings, arranged as a flower within a flower: one stone in the middle, a ring of six around it and twelve more around those. Gold links between the settings leave small openings so light reaches each stone from behind. A polished gold rim then holds a continuous circle of baguettes, which gives the disc a sharp, bright edge and makes the round stones inside look even livelier. The shoulders split into three fine wires on each side, a detail that keeps such a generous head feeling balanced on the finger.
