Heart Shaped Lab Grown Diamond Rings, IGI Certified

The heart cut is a modified brilliant cut shaped to resemble a heart. It is one of the more technically demanding diamond cuts. A well-cut heart shape shows strong light performance and a clear, symmetric outline. A poorly cut one looks asymmetric and loses brilliance.

Every heart shaped diamond in this collection is IGI or GIA certified with cut grade documented. Heart cuts below 0.5ct are not recommended. At that size, the shape becomes difficult to distinguish without magnification. Most buyers in this collection choose 0.7ct and above.

Goenka Jewellers stocks heart shaped lab grown diamonds in solitaire, halo, and pave settings in 14K and 18K gold. All are real diamonds, identical in composition to mined diamonds. Part of the wider lab grown diamond rings collection.

Heart Ring Styles in This Collection

Heart Solitaire Rings

A single heart shaped diamond in a five-prong or V-tip setting. The V-tip prong protects the point of the heart, which is the most vulnerable part of the cut. Available from 0.5ct to 2ct in 14K and 18K gold. Also available in the solitaire rings collection.

Heart Halo Rings

A heart shaped centre diamond surrounded by a continuous halo of smaller round brilliant diamonds. The halo visually enlarges the heart shape and adds approximately 0.2ct to the total appearance. Available in 18K white and rose gold.

Heart Pave Engagement Rings

Heart solitaires with pave-set diamond bands. A popular choice for engagement rings where the buyer wants a romantic, feminine design. Available in 14K and 18K gold.

Double Heart Rings

Two smaller heart shaped diamonds set side by side or in a shared prong setting. Common gifting choice for anniversaries and Valentine's Day.

Heart Band Rings

Heart shaped diamond accents set across a band. A more subtle interpretation of the heart cut for buyers who want the design without a large centre stone.

What to Know Before Buying a Heart Shaped Diamond

Minimum size. Buy at least 0.5ct. Below 0.5ct, the heart outline is not clearly visible to the naked eye. Most buyers in this collection prefer 0.7ct to 1ct for the shape to read clearly.

Length-to-width ratio. A heart shaped diamond should be close to 1:1 in its length-to-width ratio for the best proportions. A ratio between 0.90 and 1.10 gives a well-balanced heart shape. The IGI or GIA certificate documents this.

Cut grade matters more here. Heart cuts are more sensitive to cutting quality than round brilliants. A Good-grade heart cut can look dull. Aim for Excellent or Very Good cut grades.

Symmetry is critical. The two lobes of the heart should be equal in size and shape. The cleft at the top and the point at the bottom should be centered. Check the diamond image on the certificate, not just the grade.

For a setting, the V-tip prong at the bottom of the heart is not optional. It protects the point, which is the most fragile part of the cut. Any setting without a V-tip or full bezel is a risk for chipping over time.

Lab Grown vs Natural Heart Shaped Diamond Rings

Heart shaped lab grown diamonds cost 60 to 75 percent less than natural heart shaped diamonds of the same grade. A 0.7ct heart shaped Excellent-cut lab grown diamond ring in 18K gold costs approximately Rs.55,000 to Rs.80,000 at Goenka. A natural equivalent starts at Rs.1,50,000 or more.

Lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds differ only in origin and price:

•     Carbon structure: Identical in both. Same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, same refractive index, same fire and brilliance.

•     Certification: Both carry IGI or GIA grading certificates with full 4Cs documentation.

•     Price: Lab grown costs 60 to 75% less than a natural diamond of the same cut, colour, and clarity grade.

•     Origin: Lab grown from a CVD or HPHT laboratory. Natural from earth-mined sources.

•     Secondary market: Lab grown has a lower secondary resale market at this time. Natural diamonds have an established resale market. Worth knowing before purchase.
