Lab Grown Diamond Engagement Rings, IGI Certified

Lab grown diamond engagement rings in this collection are set with real, certified diamonds. IGI graded. Same carbon structure as a mined diamond. Same hardness, same brilliance. The certificate will say "Laboratory Grown."

Diamond engagement rings for women at Goenka are available in solitaire, halo, pave, three-stone, and vintage settings in 14K and 18K gold. Prices start around Rs.45,000 for a 0.5ct in 14K and go well above Rs.3,00,000 for 2ct and above in 18K.

Goenka Jewellers has made engagement rings in Kolkata since 2006. The collection is customisable. If the exact design you want is not here, custom orders are available. Most custom pieces take 2 to 3 weeks.

One thing buyers regularly ask: are these the same as a natural diamond engagement ring? The answer is yes: the same carbon crystal, the same sparkle, the same IGI certification. The difference is that lab grown costs almost 90% less, so your budget goes into a bigger, finer diamond.

Engagement Ring Styles in This Collection

Solitaire Engagement Rings

One diamond. Nothing else. The most purchased engagement ring style globally and in this collection. Available in round brilliant, oval, pear, princess, emerald, and cushion cuts. Four-prong and six-prong settings in 14K and 18K gold.

Round brilliant is the most forgiving cut for buyers who are unsure. It reflects light from all angles. Oval and pear run longer, which makes the finger look more elongated. Emerald cut is bold and geometric.

Halo Engagement Rings

A central diamond surrounded by a ring of smaller diamonds. The halo makes the centre stone appear larger than its actual carat weight. Common choice for buyers who want maximum visual impact at a given budget.

Pave Engagement Rings

Small diamonds set closely together along the band, creating a surface that appears fully covered in diamonds. Often combined with a solitaire or halo centre stone. Adds total carat weight without significantly increasing the price.

Three-Stone Rings

A centre diamond flanked by two smaller stones. The three stones traditionally represent the past, present, and future of a relationship, though that is an origin story invented by De Beers in the 1990s. The design itself is clean and substantial.

Diamond Wedding Rings for Women

Eternity bands and half-eternity bands with lab grown diamonds set all the way or halfway around. Designed to be worn alongside an engagement ring or as a standalone piece. Diamond wedding rings for women in this collection start at Rs.30,000 in 14K gold.

Vintage and Antique-Inspired

Filigree settings, milgrain detail, and old European cut diamonds. These designs take longer to produce. Custom lead time applies.

How to Choose an Engagement Ring

Diamond shape first. It determines the look of the ring more than anything else. Round brilliant is safe. Oval is a strong second choice. Try a few shapes before deciding if possible.

Cut quality over carat weight. A 0.7ct Excellent-cut diamond will look better than a 1ct Good-cut. Cut is what makes light bounce back through the table. Do not compromise on cut to get a larger stone.

Setting for her lifestyle. A high solitaire prong setting is traditional and shows the diamond clearly but catches on fabric. A bezel or low-profile setting is more practical for someone who is active or works with their hands.

Metal purity: 18K is the engagement ring standard in India. Richer colour, more prestigious. 14K is a valid choice for buyers on a tighter budget who want a larger diamond for the same price. The diamond quality is identical.

If you are unsure, book an in-person consultation at our Kolkata showroom or a home viewing in Delhi. Goenka's team helps narrow the choice based on budget, stone shape preference, and lifestyle.

Lab Grown vs Natural Diamond Engagement Rings

The question most buyers have: is a lab grown engagement ring as good as a natural diamond engagement ring? The diamonds are physically the same. The certificate documents the same 4Cs. The difference is origin and price: lab grown is created responsibly above ground and costs almost 90% less, which makes it the better-value choice.

Lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds differ only in origin and price:

• Carbon structure: Identical in both. Same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, same refractive index, same fire and brilliance.

• Certification: Both carry IGI grading certificates with full 4Cs documentation.

• Price: Lab grown costs almost 90% less than a natural diamond of the same cut, colour, and clarity grade.

• Origin: Lab grown from a CVD or HPHT laboratory. Natural from earth-mined sources.

• Value: Lab grown puts a bigger, finer, certified diamond within your budget, and every Goenka piece comes with exchange and cash buyback at 100% of the gold value and 80% of the diamond value at market rate (T&C apply).

For a 1ct round brilliant Excellent-cut lab grown diamond ring in 18K gold, expect to pay Rs.75,000 to Rs.1,20,000 at Goenka. A natural diamond of the same grade would cost Rs.2,00,000 or more. The saving is significant.
