Lab Grown Diamond Eternity Band Rings, IGI Certified

An eternity band has diamonds set around the entire circumference of the ring, or across the top half for a half-eternity design. This collection covers both, along with French pave and channel-set variations.

Eternity bands are most often worn as anniversary rings, diamond wedding rings for women, or as a stacking band alongside an engagement ring. They are also worn as standalone pieces.

All diamonds are IGI or GIA certified lab grown diamonds in 14K and 18K gold. Real diamonds, same composition as mined stones. Every stone documented. Goenka Jewellers has made eternity bands in Kolkata since 2006.

Eternity Band Styles in This Collection

Full Eternity Bands

Diamonds set continuously around the full circumference of the ring. The most visually dramatic option. Prong, bezel, and channel settings available. Total diamond weight typically runs 1ct to 3ct for a full eternity band.

Important: full eternity bands cannot be resized after purchase. The diamonds run the entire circumference, leaving no plain gold section for a jeweller to cut and resize. Order the correct size.

Half-Eternity Bands

Diamonds set across the top half of the band only. The underside is plain gold. More comfortable for some wearers, and more practical because half-eternity bands can be resized. Total diamond weight typically 0.3ct to 1.2ct.

Channel-Set Eternity Bands

Diamonds set inside a channel groove cut into the band. No prongs exposed. A smooth, flush surface on all sides. The most practical setting for daily wear. Available as both full and half-eternity in the band rings collection as well.

French Pave Eternity Bands

Small diamonds set with a French pave technique where the prongs are shaped into pointed beads between each stone. More light enters from the sides, giving the band a brighter, more scattered sparkle effect.

Shared-Prong Eternity Bands

Each prong holds two adjacent diamonds simultaneously, reducing the amount of metal visible between stones. More diamond surface area visible. A popular design that maximises brilliance at a given total carat weight.

Men's Eternity Bands

Wider eternity bands from 5mm to 8mm with channel-set diamonds. Available in 14K and 18K yellow and white gold. Also in the men's jewellery collection.

Full Eternity vs Half Eternity

•     Diamonds: Full eternity has diamonds all the way around. Half eternity has diamonds on the top half only.

•     Resizing: Full eternity cannot be resized. Half eternity can be resized.

•     Diamond weight: Full eternity carries higher weight, typically 1ct to 3ct and above. Half eternity runs 0.3ct to 1.2ct.

•     Comfort: Full eternity is uniform all around. Half eternity has a plain gold underside which many wearers find more comfortable.

•     Price: Full eternity is higher priced due to greater total diamond weight.

If there is any uncertainty about ring size, go with a half-eternity band. It can be resized. A full eternity band is a permanent commitment to a size.

How to Choose an Eternity Band

Setting type for daily wear. Channel-set is the most secure and practical. Prong-set maximises light entry. For eternity bands worn every day, channel or bezel settings are recommended.

Stone size uniformity. All diamonds in an eternity band should be the same size and cut. Matching is done during production. The IGI or GIA certificate covers the total lot.

Pairing with an engagement ring. Check the profile height of both rings before buying. An eternity band should sit flush alongside the engagement ring without a visible gap.

Lab Grown vs Natural Diamond Eternity Bands

Eternity bands use multiple small diamonds, each between 0.02ct and 0.1ct. In natural diamonds, small stones at this size are still individually priced. In lab grown, the savings per stone add up. A 1ct total weight half-eternity band in lab grown costs Rs.45,000 to Rs.75,000. The natural equivalent starts at Rs.1,20,000.

Lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds differ only in origin and price:

•     Carbon structure: Identical in both. Same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, same refractive index, same fire and brilliance.

•     Certification: Both carry IGI or GIA grading certificates with full 4Cs documentation.

•     Price: Lab grown costs 60 to 75% less than a natural diamond of the same cut, colour, and clarity grade.

•     Origin: Lab grown from a CVD or HPHT laboratory. Natural from earth-mined sources.

•     Secondary market: Lab grown has a lower secondary resale market at this time. Natural diamonds have an established resale market. Worth knowing before purchase.
