The paisley, or keri, curls around the top of the finger with a double border of fine pave that ends in a graceful hook. Inside the curve, larger round diamonds are raised on slim gold claws in a small, loose cluster, so light passes between them and they sparkle independently of the frame. The shank splits into two polished strands as it reaches the motif, which opens up the design and gives it a lighter look from the side. It works as easily with a saree as with a shirt and jeans.
